In 1992, the inventor of La Maglietta completed an apprenticeship as a textile machine operator at the renowned Tuchfabrik Becker weaving mill, and was ready to put his passion for fabrics into practice. Six years later, in 1998, he and his wife opened a small but perfectly formed fabric shop. The two were full of enthusiasm and dreamed of the opportunity to inspire people with high-quality fabrics.

But the real turning point came in 2012 when he founded Iltex, a fabric wholesaler specializing in jersey fabrics—the basis for T-shirts. He realized there was no T-shirt on the market that met his high standards.

The shirts, which initially seemed promising, turned into plain sleep shirts after washing and wearing.

Frustrated by the shortage of goods and wanting to create something better, he came up with a brilliant idea: Why not have his own T-shirts sewn from the best fabrics he produced himself?

This gave rise to the desire to create the perfect T-shirt not only for himself but also for his son.

In 2024, he sold the Iltex brand and took a six-month break to think about his next steps.

What did he really want to achieve? This question haunted him.

He decided to create the best T-shirt in the world – a shirt that would enrich not only him but also other people.
